Transportation & Traffic Management

Moving people and vehicles is one continuous problem. SAS plans arrival, on-site circulation, and departure as a single system rather than three separate contracts.

One movement plan, three operating windows

Transportation and traffic are usually split between vendors who never see each other's plan. We keep them together because the shuttle schedule, the curb layout, and the traffic posts all depend on the same assumptions about when people arrive and how quickly they leave.

Window 01

Arrival

Route guests from the highway to a parked vehicle without stacking traffic at a single point. That means published routes, staged signage, and staff at every decision point where a driver could guess wrong.

  • Inbound route planning and turn-by-turn mapping
  • Lot assignment and overflow sequencing
  • Signage plans and placement schedules
  • Drop-off and accessible arrival positions

Window 02

On site

During the event the movement problem changes shape: shuttles cycle, deliveries arrive, rideshare builds, and pedestrians take the shortest path regardless of the plan.

  • Shuttle route design, headway, and dispatch coordination
  • Vehicle staging areas and driver marshalling
  • Curb management and rideshare zone positioning
  • Pedestrian and vehicle conflict-point staffing

Window 03

Departure

Departure is the hour guests remember. We plan it first, not last, and we hold staff in position until the site is genuinely clear.

  • Staged release and lot-by-lot egress sequencing
  • Return shuttle capacity planning
  • Post-event traffic direction coverage
  • Contingency plans for weather and early holds

Coordination and contingency

SAS teams direct traffic and guide guests on private property and within the scope granted by the client, venue, and any authority having jurisdiction. Where public roadways or law-enforcement authority are involved, we plan and coordinate with the responsible agency rather than substituting for it.

Contingencies are written before the event: a rain plan, an early-release plan, a blocked-route plan, and a communication tree so the change reaches every position at the same time.

  • Venue operations and parking teams
  • Public agency and permitting partners, at the client's direction
  • Motorcoach, shuttle, and charter providers
  • Production and vendor delivery schedules
  • Accessible transportation and ADA arrival planning
  • Sister-company parking operations where applicable

Departure should not be the worst hour of your event.
